Our Philosophy

Every Day Is Monday.

We don't carry yesterday into today.

Every morning begins again -

with the same preparation,

the same attention,

and the same intention

as the first day we opened.

Yuki Is an Attitude.

Not a mood. Not a moment.

A decision made every day

to show up completely -

for every guest who walks through the door.

Especially "THE LAST."

From the first guest of the day

to the last,

our standard does not change.

That is where it is truly tested -

and where we choose to be measured.

お客様が笑顔、スタッフが笑顔。

Guests smiling. Staff smiling.

That is everything.

The Name

JuNi

十二

The restaurant stands at the corner of Juniper Street and 12th Street NE.

The name came naturally from both.

“JuNi” lives inside Juniper.

The kanji beside the name is pronounced “Ju-Ni” in Japanese. It means twelve.

Two origins. One sound.

A name connected to place, language, and identity.

Founder

In January 1998, Yuki Tanaka opened Circle Sushi on Roswell Road.

Atlanta was not yet the culinary destination it is today. He came anyway.

What followed was nearly three decades of watching Atlanta grow — and watching Atlanta grow up at his tables.

First dates. Anniversaries. Children who became adults. Families across three generations.

He has been a quiet witness to this city's life.

On July 28, 2024, a fire took the restaurant he had spent years building.

He did not leave. He did not start smaller.

By September 2024, the Circle Sushi H pop-up continued — and runs to this day, until JuNi opens.
